The Case Model D tractor was introduced in 1939 as part of the new Flambeau Red Series. The stylized hood and radiator grille improved its appearance, but beneath the tin and bright red paint was a tractor built with simplicity and durability in mind. As with other Case tractors of the period, a four cylinder engine was used. A standard feature of the Model D tractor was the use of individual brakes on the rear wheels.
